Let's dig deep into the backstory of each character!

In the Summer of 1813, Aerik is living life to the fullest! Aerik, his mother, father, and best friend Nick are all going to visit the Halverston Familly home in North Uhldranya. And after all the fun in the snow and mountains the traveling team plan to head to the Independent Island Alliance to spend time with Aerik's mother's family. Life seems to be at an all-time high for this spunky guy, but soon the day will come when he learns that his hero is just a kid his age.  . . And that is WAY BETTER than anything he could have hoped for~

Let's dig deep into the backstory of each character!

For those new to MiD, Ali is the kind soul who finds Elianna quite intriguing. Ali and Eli become fast friends over their first few days as freshmen at Linwood Theta HighSchool. But in the summer of 1813, just before the two friends met, Aliyna was in a whole other world of "social drama". Her step-father insisted on the family spending the summer days trying to get to know each other better and build new bonds. 

A Unique Project Indeed!

We're halfway through our first 24 hours and we are off to a steady start! 

While we didn't get fully funded within the first few seconds (we never have before, but we always hope that this'll be the time it happens haha), the team and I suspected it may take a minute to get this one off the ground seeing as how it is quite different from what we've done before.

However! 

I don't think it's alllll that different. 

You see, let me tell you a little bit about why this project is especially important:

I never planned on just being a comic book creator. 

And, I most certainly never planned on doing all of this on my own!

Eotera, and all its stories, is so much more than what one person can do all by their onesie.

And just the same, Maiden in Disguise is so much more than just another comic book. 

So . . . why exactly is this project so important?

Because it's one of the first steps towards expanding Maiden in Disguise, and as a byproduct the world of Eotera's stories, in such a way that in brings on more fellow creators and collaborators — leading to a deliciously meandering tale that lives and breathes beyond the pages of the books themselves. 

Doesn't that sound awesome?

Basically, the animated shorts and mini comics that will be created upon success of this project will all be real, canon occurrences. Meaning they'll be much more relevant than you might expect to the  main story. Which of course, will make reading that story all the more enriching and entertaining. 

I definitely think that's a fun and new way to go about telling a story of this medium. And so far, so do quite a few other people I've proposed this project, too.

Let's keep our fingers crossed to see if the next age of storytelling comes true!
